Schedule

  • Tuesday: 9:00am-10:30am, 10:45am-12:15pm, and 6:00pm-7:30pm
  • Wednesday: 9:00am-10:30am and 10:45am-12:15pm

Our social skills and adaptive living skill classes focuses on building relationships, social skills, adaptive skills, and real-life functional skills that children, teens, and adults can use in the natural environment.

Some skills we focus on are:

  • Conversational skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Social etiquette
  • Interviewing skill
  • Safety skills (e.g., CPR, choking rescue, first-aid, how to respond in an emergency, etc.)
  • Self-management skills
  • Setting a long-term goal and achieving the goal
  • Team building exercises
  • Working/collaborating with peers
  • Principles and ethics
  • Community safety
  • Problem solving
  • Health and Safety
  • Self-care
  • Occupational skills (writing a resume, preparing for an interview, how to follow up after an interview, etc.)
  • Leadership skills (how to lead small teams or large teams)
  • Building your resume and/or volunteering to help the community at animal shelters, non-profit organizations, city events, etc.

Note: Students can be CPR certified if they attend at least 3 classes which will be scheduled ahead of time. There is part one, two, and three of the CPR classes. ($10 additional fee is required and must be paid for prior to the final class). Students can still participate in the class and gain the knowledge but will not be issued a CPR card/certification unless the $10 is paid.

Fees: Are $100 per month which include Four 1.5-hour classes at our learning center in Upland, CA at: 846 W. Foothill Blvd. Suite A.

Drop off: Caregivers are allowed to drop off the students and pick them up prior to the end of the class session.
